my dog chewd up the end caps on the handles does anyone know if maclaren replaces these. having trouble gettin customer service number and website is being updated

A: I would try www.craigslist.org or Freecycle for a free new stroller. There are lots of lovely people out there, who update what they have and/or give away very useable items that they are no longer using. Trying to get replacement parts direct from Maclaren is quite difficult. Try contacting the store you bought it from or any store that stocks Maclaren. Im sure they will be able to order the parts in for you.

Maclaren stroller company announces huge recall.
Stroller company Maclaren USA announced a huge stroller recall this morning affecting more than 1 million strollers after a dozen reports of childrens fingertips being amputated when they put their hands into a side hinge.

The recalled strollers include 11 different models, details of which can be found at the company website www.maclaren.us/recall or by calling (877) 688-2326. The products were sold from 1999 through November 2009 at stores like BabysRUs for $100 to $360.
Just an FYI! Dont need anymore kiddies getting hurt.
A: Its actually a voluntary recall. Its not happening with the children in the stroller. Its happening when they are being opened and closed, which is something I wouldnt be allowing my daughter to do anyway, if she could. You can plainly see where they could get hurt. Over the summer anytime I used it while wearing flip flops, I paid close attention to not get my toes caught.
No need to get rid of the stroller. Just call the company and theyll send the kit to fix it to you.
